Career Decision Making and Planning:

We have developed a unique and effective career decision making methodology that underpins our practical work with clients.  We facilitate, support and inspire individuals through this process, maximizing creative career thinking and expansion of perceived future options whilst minimizing the risk of inappropriate decisions.  View a visual diagram of this process.

The process has several key stages including:

  • Developing clarity and understanding regarding the problems and issues that have prompted the individual to seek support.
  • Self-assessment using a range of activities and resources to identify preferences and interests in areas of job elements, work culture, work style and how career should ideally interrelate with rest of life.
  • This is explored alongside a 360˚ marketplace exploration process that suspends reality and encourages the individual to identify the types of roles, industries or ways of working that intuitively interest them.
  • This self-exploration data is then synthesized into an integrated word picture that identifies; conclusions and insights, themes, preferred jobs and industries narrowed into specific options.
  • This information drives an action plan for the next stage where you take a caerer theme or option and conduct a process of research (gathering information) and reality testing (talking to people in the jobs and industries you have identified).   This process is continued until you clearly identify your preferred direction.

In three to five hours we assist clients to reach career themes and conclusions that will help give them the clarity and insight to identify the best options for transforming their work life.
