ORIGIN STORY
Founder of Career Dynamic in 1992, I pioneered one of New Zealand's first commercial career development practices, serving a diverse client base ranging from CEOs to school leavers. Over three decades, we have empowered thousands of individuals with impactful career guidance and support, earning a reputation for delivering results and building lasting client relationships.
My early career journey combined qualifications and experience in teaching, group facilitation, and counselling leading to a Bachelor of Commerce in Organisational Development & Change. These foundations, along with a subsequent decade of GM-level and HR management and consulting roles across multinational corporates, SMEs, NGOs, and government agencies in New Zealand, Australia, South East Asia and Canada. This background set me apart as a career practitioner with deep business acumen and cross-sector expertise.
In 2008, I created a parallel business creating career development card sorts and support resources. This led to facilitating workshops and conference speaking engagements and opened up opportunities to work with elite athletes across all codes. Highlights include designing and implementing national career development programmes for both professional and high performance sport in New Zealand and Australia.
My professional contributions includes serving as National President for CDANZ, lecturing at AUT and The University of Auckland in career development and consulting on career related programmes for institutions such as Otago Polytechnic, AUT, the Australian Institute of Sport and many corporates across diverse industries.
My most rewarding work however has been both working with clients of all ages and backgrounds and helping practitioners to craft meaningful and motivational career pathways for their clients.
